Cover Reveal: Gunmetal Magic by Ilona Andrews

I just saw this on Ilona Andrews' website: the cover for Gunmetal Magic, Kate Daniels #5.5, also known as the Andrea spinoff. It's slated for publication August 2012.

 

I like it. It think it definitely conveys Andrea's 'badass' aura, so the feel is right, but.... I don't know if the face is right, if you know what I mean.  Excited!

Nevertheless, I think it's my favorite cover so far in this series. 

Oh, and I love the view of a magic-ravaged Atlanta in the beackground.

Today's WoW is for one of my FAVORITE authors in all the world, and the very first author who was on my autobuy list before I knew there was such a thing as an autobuy list. It releases on April 3rd 2012. 4 more weeks! To say I can't wait is an understatement. If she wrote it, it's going to be good.

I am so excited! I get to see Terrible again! I am only on book 2, but I hear by this time Chess is actively attempting to clean up her act, so it will be interesting to see what happens.

My entry for today is Timeless, the fifth and final book in Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate series. Amazon has it coming out March 2nd.

Even Ivy Tunstell's acting troupe's latest play, disastrous to say the least, cannot put a damper on Alexia's enjoyment of her new London lifestyle.

Until, that is, she receives a summons from Alexandria that cannot be ignored. With husband, child, and Tunstells in tow, Alexia boards a steamer to cross the Mediterranean.  This series is the only one that I know of that is  about supernatural creatures and set in the past: 1800's England, to be exact. I mean, how cool is that? It is also humorous and steampunk-y.  Plus, Alexia and Lord Maccon are just adorable.  I am excited.

Okey dokey!

One of the releases I am most excited for in this year is Fair Game by Patricia Briggs.  Patricia's webpage and Amazon have it slated for a March 2012 release, while FictFact has it slated for a Feb 7 release. Either way, I get it either right before my birthday, or on Independence Day!

They say opposites attract. And in the case of werewolves Anna Latham and Charles Cornick, they mate. The son-and enforcer-of the leader of the North American werewolves, Charles is a dominant alpha. While Anna, an omega, has the rare ability to calm others of her kind.
Now that the werewolves have revealed themselves to humans, they can't afford any bad publicity. Infractions that could have been overlooked in the past must now be punished, and the strain of doing his father's dirty work is taking a toll on Charles.
Nevertheless, Charles and Anna are sent to Boston, when the FBI requests the pack's help on a local serial killer case. They quickly realize that not only the last two victims were werewolves-all of them were. Someone is targeting their kind. And now Anna and Charles have put themselves right in the killer's sights...


This is the third  story in the Alpha and Omega series, and I can't wait to see Anna and Charles again! *Of course, there is also hope that we'll see a glimpse of Bran, too :D*
